Keywords:
Islamic Spirituality, Employee Happiness, Employee Performance, Multinational Company, IndonesiaAbstract
Islamic spirituality and happiness can potentially enhance employee performance; however, the literature presents inconsistent findings and ongoing debates. This study aims to examine how Islamic spirituality and happiness influence employee performance. A quantitative approach was used in this research, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of multinational companies in Indonesia. A total of 125 respondents participated in the study. The findings reveal that Islamic spirituality significantly influences employee performance, and employee happiness also significantly mediates the relationship between Islamic spirituality and employee performance. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing insights into the role of Islamic spirituality and happiness in improving employee performance. The findings can serve as a basis for multinational companies to develop management strategies that are more sensitive to Islamic spirituality and focused on employee happiness to enhance overall company performance
